Resveratrol is known to come from the Japanese knotweed. It has been shown to be a huge benefit in regards to cancer, diabetes, and many other diseases that we encounter throughout the course of our lives.
Studies that have been done with animals show that Resveratrol can help to increase the lifespan that the animals had. Not only that, but it also was found to counteract the adverse effects that high fat diets had on them as well. Mice that were tested for high fat diets and taking Resveratrol were almost 1/3 less likely to die as opposed to the mice that did not take Resveratrol but ate high fat diets.
Some studies that have been done in animals have found that Resveratrol can increase the life span that they have. It also was found to neutralize the effects that high fat diets had in mice. These studies showed that the mice that had a high fat diet and were taking Resveratrol had a 30% less risk of death than mice that just had a high fat diet.
Diabetes is the last disease that I will show some results of the studies that have been done. The study involved rats and were over a 30 day time period. Resveratrol was given to a rat every day for 30 days. This showed results of the rat having normal level of blood sugars than the rats that did not receive the drug. Researchers are holding high hopes on this study and want to see it be done on humans to see what the results would be on them.
No matter what the drug is that is new, there are always people out there stating the bad effects that they have. This is something that people need to remember is common in all drugs that are taken. One ill effect that people are in a huff about is that there is speculation that it may provoke the growth in breast cancer cells.
There are always side effects to everything that is out there. One such adverse effect that is said to be possible with Resveratrol is that it may rouse the growth of breast cancer cells in humans. There are other studies that say the exact opposite of this and claim that it actually is helpful with the fight of breast cancer in people. It is like anything that is in the study stages, there are always some that say it is good and others that say that it is bad.
The belief of red wine being a good thing in relation to cardio issues of all kinds is said to have come from the finding of Resveratrol being in it. This has been an ongoing debate of many people over the years, and still continues this way now.
The studies that are being done in regards to Resveratrol are ongoing. There are risks that are associated with anything that has medicinal properties in it. It is all a judgment call that the person thinking of taking it needs to make. The most important thing that anyone can do is research it thoroughly and then decide if this is something that you want to put into your body or not.
